Become an OPS Volunteer
Ready to help at Harrison? Start here. Lunch volunteers need approved Level 2 or Level 3 status. Volunteers must be 18 or older and reapply each school year.
Which level do you need?
Level 1 — behind-the-scenes help. School-based work without student contact, such as office or clerical tasks. No background check.
Level 2 — supervised group activities. A certificated OPS staff member is always present, on or off school property. No background check. This is the minimum level for Harrison lunch volunteering.
Level 3 — additional clearance. For approved activities that may involve one-to-one student contact or work without direct certificated staff supervision. Criminal-history and Nebraska DHHS background checks are required. The school determines the level needed for your activity.
